Mazingira Kwanza Foundation (MKF) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Tanzania that is dedicated to protecting and improving the natural environment while empowering vulnerable communities through education, advocacy, and economic empowerment. Our motto, "Environment is Treasure, Together we can Make a Difference Today", reflects our belief that everyone can play a role in safeguarding our planet for future generations.
At MKF, we recognize that the environment is critical to sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Our mission is to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to design and implement life-changing development programs and livelihood schemes that alleviate environmental degradation, climatic change risks, and deepening poverty to ensure holistic sustainable development.
We work towards achieving our mission through several objectives, including conducting natural resource conservation efforts, developing and implementing effective strategies and program activities to combat and adapt to climate change, supporting sustainable, cutting-edge, and highly productive farming practices, promoting eco-friendly businesses, and empowering women and other marginalized communities.
